I think this was the first time Barry Brett impersonated the well known TV Frank Spencer! It was so funny and completely unexpected and the audience just loved it. Following this Barry did heaps of ‘stand-Up’ comedy around the country and became a consummate entertainer – acting and singing in many productions. Barry’s first introduction into musical Theatre was My Fair lady in 1980. Adele was also a dance teacher – following in the footsteps of her mother Claire Patten, New Plymouth. Both Barry and Adele have continued to support theatre in South Taranaki over the years.
