Beautify Waitara – Keep New Zealand Beautiful Community Award Nomination 2020

Beautify Waitara is a community group using art /mural projects to inspire environmental kaitiakitanga and community action through art.  The murals which have been popping up around Waitara have sparked local interest and action in environmental conservation and have inspired young people to pursue their artistic talents in telling their cultural stories. They are literally keeping Waitara Beautiful.
