Bells Falls, Taranaki. 2024

Bushwalk (mostly) following Stony River. First you will follow Puniho Track, then Stony River track. Relatively easy to follow. Number of stream crossings along the way, not an issue but you will get your feet wet. Stony River right below the falls was bit deeper, well above knees. You mileage might wary depending on weather. There are plenty of big boulders in Stony River bed so be careful in wet weather, it is very easy to slip. Overall great bushwalk, fun to walk.

1:14 – first junction, turn left for Stony River Route

2:52 – Stony River bed

5:21 – turn left here to go back inland

10:51 – last junction before Bells Falls, turn right for Holly Hut
