Fraser Smith Rd and It’s Tunnel

Taking your time out to explore doesn’t just mean taking half a day to go exploring.

This little gem of a tunnel is only 2 minutes off the main highway.

Now that we can’t drive through the tunnel in the Awakino Gorge and the Mt Messenger tunnel will also be closing, this tunnel will soon be the only one to check out.

And unlike the other 2 mentioned that are on state highways, you can quite safely stop and walk through it (but still watch out for any other cars checking it out.
