Hawera Jubilee Procession 1957
The parade enters Hawera Racecourse in 1957.
Included in the parade are the Hawera Marching Association Robinette Midgets, general floats, fire brigade appliances, horse-drawn vehicles with people in period costume, Salisbury Small Goods truck, ‘Cinderella’, 1906 Oldsmobile car, a Message from Fatima religious float, Highland Pipe Band followed by marching girls and clowns fooling around. Several people are seen sitting in the grandstand smiling and enjoying themselves. Some men work a pump for a fire hose and then have fun spraying people with water.
