Mangorei Rd Roundabout from start to finish

Here’s a look from start to finish at our construction of the roundabout at the SH3 / Mangorei Road intersection south of New Plymouth.

Now that we’ve finished the roundabout, this completes our safety improvements on the SH3 New Plymouth to Hāwera.

The new roundabout includes a path for pedestrians and cyclists, and a wide centreline. We’re delighted to have completed it three months ahead of schedule.

Over the past two years, we’ve added more than 12km of wide centrelines, median barriers, and this roundabout to improve safety on this stretch of highway. These changes will help reduce the risk of serious crashes and make journeys safer for everyone.
