Retired ballet Teacher Claire Patten is one of a team of “Feds” at Taranaki base hospital Feds are friends of the emergency department – they assist with patients, not with medical care, put with a smile, a cup of tea, and a ready ear to help them through their trauma – and Claire is still giving those ballet lessons – to the residents at Summerset.
