Mt Messenger to Awakino Gorge 1973

This is a video of the drive over Mt Messenger with a quick look at the Awakino gorge. It was filmed by Bill Irving back in 1973. This was obviously before they widened the Tunnel at the top and the road was in a fairly rough condition.
