New Plymouth’s Martin Smyth is 102 years old

Summerset at Pohutukawa Place residents and staff had a wonderful time celebrating Martin’s 102nd birthday, with students from Manukorihi Intermediate asking him questions about his incredible life, or as one student pointed out 37,255 days! 🤩

Martin is an inspiration to the village, keeping active, volunteering in the community, helping fellow residents as “Mr Fix-It,” and enjoying village life to the fullest.

His advice for a good life? “Be happy and don’t worry about things.”
