New Plymouth’s Rebecca Mende publishes her first children’s book.

New Plymouth local Rebecca Mende, a children’s party entertainer and Taranaki Chamber of Commerce staff member, has self-published her first children’s book, Sparkles and the Magic of Believing. Released in April 2026, the book is a, illustrated story focused on kindness, friendship, and imagination, featuring characters from her “Be Magical” entertainment business.
