‘Rekindled Spirits’ – Taranaki Finalist in the 48hr Film making competition 2021

‘Rekindled Spirits’ by team Pastafarian Productions is a short animated film made as part of the 2021 48Hours New Zealand filmmaking competition. Team Pastafarian Production competed in Taranaki and was required to make a romantic comedy film as part of the competition rules. They were the Grand National Finalists for 2021 and was awarded the Sir Peter Jackson Wildcard, Ant Timpson’s Best Solo/Duo and Dame Gaylene Preston and WIFT Best Female Director (Hannah Taylor). The 48Hours New Zealand filmmaking competition Grand Final was screened at Civic Theatre in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland.

As part of the 48Hours New Zealand filmmaking competition, filmmakers have one weekend to create a short film. Each team competing do not know which genre they will be shooting and the mandatory requirements until the start of the competition.
