Taranaki Rugby Ranfurly Shield 2011- arrival home

In 2011 Taranaki won the Ranfurly Shield by defeating Southland 15-12. The win came exactly 15 years to the day after their previous Ranfurly Shield tenure. Beauden Barrett kicked five penalties for Taranaki, while James Wilson kicked four for Southland. The final score was a try-free match, with Taranaki holding on to win.

The win came 15 years to the day since the Amber & Blacks last Ranfurly Shield tenure.
