TARANAKI WAITANGI FESTIVAL WEEKEND 2015

While celebrating our cultural differences and similarities together on Waitangi weekend 2015 we aimed to also raise awareness for the Taranaki Retreat Centre being built on Hurford Road by the Dean of the Taranaki Cathedral, Jamie Allen. Jamie sadly lost his 12 year old daughter to cancer a few years ago, which has spurred him on to build a safe haven retreat for people to come and heal from loss, sadness, depression or otherwise. We saw it as a great opportunity for our community to come together in the celebration of top quality music. “Na tou rourou, na toku rourou – ka ora te iwi”
