The New Plymouth Clockathon 1983

This recording contains a presentation, produced by Radio Taranaki, that outlines the organisation of the Radio Taranaki/Taranaki Herald “Clockathon” fundraising effort. The event was held from midday Friday the 29th of July to 10am on Monday the 1st of August, 1983. As a part of the event, Roger Tonkin broke the New Zealand solo announcing record by broadcasting for more than 70 hours.
