David Self

David Self was born in 1933 in the UK, but he has lived in the Manaia District for many years …. As a well known Horticulturalist and Anglican minister he has become a highly regarded and respected member of the local Community ….In this audio Documentary David talks about his early life in the UK, the war rationing, child Migration and how he came to settle in Taranaki.
