Eric Weir   Pt 1

Well known Waverley Stock buyer Eric Weir has been part of the local community for many years. He has been an integral part of the local Rugby and Lions club and was instrumental in initiating a scheme to raise cattle for Hospice an activity he continues to this day.

But Eric wasn’t born in the Waverley area, his forebears were, but Eric was raised in the Taihape area.  Eric talks about his early schooling, the Polio epidemic. Working as a shepherd and how he moved into stock buying jobs with some of the major NZ meat companies.
