Hunting at Hockens – Tucker Media

Nearly 30 Taranaki Hunt Club members rode to hounds on the Tarata sheep and beef station of Helen and Bryan Hocken on Sunday, April 28. One hare was put up, but after a willing chase, the hounds lost it in a patch of bush. Photographer Rob Tucker provided a moment of excitement when his easy chair fell off the back of Bryan’s farm Gator, taking Tucker and his expensive camera with it. Later, one of the hounds made an epic swim down the Waitara River to rescue after being trapped below papa cliffs.
