Leith Myles

The person responsible for keeping the peace in South Taranaki over a long period has been Leith Miles …in fact Leith went on to become a justice of the peace.

Leith was the districts senior sergeant from 1966 until his retirement in 1985. Leith entered the force as a recruit in1946 during this time he served in Wellington, Wanganui, Auckland, Marton and South Taranaki. He was awarded the QSM in 1977 and since retirement Leith has continued serving the people of South Taranaki through his involvement with wide number of organizations. …
