MMP – Manaia Maori People’s first and only music video to the song “Awhimai Awhiatu” – which translates to “help yourself and help others”. Created in 2001 the video was filmed under the moutain in Taranaki National Park. The waterfall is “Dawson Falls”.

MMP disbanded in 2002 after releasing their album “never say never”. The song was written in 1997 by Jason Bloor and originally recorded by the Opunake Youth Group. It was also recorded by girl group “SELK.T” in 2003.

Originally “A.A” was filmed as a test to see if we could produce a video on no budget. The results (for us) were well above what we had imagined.
