Mokau beach fishing with kites part 1

Kite fishing from the beach at Mokau in New Zealand. These surf fishing fanatics are casting fishing lines with up to 25 baited fish hooks one mile or more offshore. This has to be one of the most efficient fishing techniques around for catching fish for the table. The surf casting catch includes snapper, red cod, kahawai, gurnard and sharks. This set was obviously underweighted, resulting in a large tangle but the fish were there.
