Patea February 2010

Patea is a township in South Taranaki but with terrific heart the town has some significance in the Maori history of New Zealand as the landing place of one of the original canoes to come to New Zealand .  The loss of the freezing works and Hospital have made the area very positive in their outlook to the future of the town and their population .
