“After the opening announcement & intro sung by The Diplomats (led by Keith Cramer on drums), Selwyn Toogood is introduced by 2XP announcer Archie Ross. After this, there is a short musical passage.”

Benefit for the Plunket Society, raised 200 pounds (good example of Toogood quips, local references etc). Local acts include the Topliners, Max Carina (boogie piano), Eleanor Yates (soprano) of Eltham, sketch by New Plymouth Little Theatre (ends abruptly) then the Hawaiian Serenaders); featured performer Kahu Pineaha.

Two rock n’ roll numbers by The Gold Diggers; then Kenny Brennan with Irish song, phonetic punctuation piece by Colleen Rhinehart (sp?)a la Victor Borge; the Edwards sisters singing; the Power brothers of Eltham (accordion); Selwyn Toogood recites; The Ocean Ramblers (rock n’ roll) perform three items; recitation again; Kahu Pineaha again, then ending with The Diplomats.

Features singer Keith Cramer in a program broadcast on 2XP New Plymouth in 1962. Tk 6 appears to be the actual program as it went to air. Piano played by Murray Hewson who was the then-chief announcer at 2XP.
