Waverley Summer Jam 2023

Cold winds and drizzle did not wreck Waverley’s Summer Jam (Saturday, Nov 25), as hundreds showed up for this popular annual event. I was there for the first hour to film the local schools performing and the arrival of Santa Claus.

Unfortunately, strong winds spoilt the audio, but this short video still captures the civic pride of the Waverley community, the trooper like discipline of the students performing in trying conditions, the professionalism of Frankie Stevens, and how convincing STDC Mayor Phil Nixon was as Santa Claus.
