Personal memory of a great time in Taranaki. “Four of us traveled to Kaponga from Wellington to compete against the compatriots from Hamilton, Wellinton and Taranaki in the annual Cow Bell Competition. There were 4 events: Small Bore shooting, Swiss Wrestling, Card Games and Skittles. We didn’t win, nevertheless we had a great time and we saw people (many of them now long gone), whom we had not seen for a long time.”
